Application
Who Should Apply
The Yuill Family Foundation prioritizes philanthropic efforts located in Medicine Hat, Southern Alberta, Western Canada, and Canada.
Applications are accepted from organizations holding a Charitable Registration Number issued by Canada Revenue Agency.
When to Apply
Donation applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Funding decisions are typically finalized within two to three months of receiving a completed application, and applicants will be notified once a decision has been made.
Funding Criteria
The Directors of the Yuill Family Foundation establish donation criteria annually. Currently, funding is considered for projects in four key areas: Health, Education, Youth Sports, and Community, with a focus on initiatives located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Western Canada, and across Canada.
Priority is typically given to capital projects over operational funding.
Application Assessment
When reviewing applications, the Foundation prioritizes organizations that demonstrate strong financial planning and committed board governance. Applicants must clearly outline how their initiative will benefit the community and provide a sustainable funding plan beyond the Foundation’s contribution.
Final Reporting and Recognition
- A formal Donation Agreement will be signed by each successful applicant.
- There is an expectation that successful applicants will provide agreed-upon public recognition to the Foundation.
- A Final Report is required from all successful applicants as outlined in the Agreement
