Yuill Family Foundation Supports National Golf Tournament
Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club will welcome the nation’s premier young golfers for the 2018 Canadian Junior Boy Championship. The 80th playing of the tournament will take place between July 30-Aug. 2 and will consist of 156 junior golfers, including all five members of Team Canada’s Development Squad.
“The Yuill Family Foundation has stepped in and donated $4,000 which will provide each volunteer with a golf shirt and hat.”
With such a large event, volunteer support will be critical. Cam Jaques, the General Manager of the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club, believes there will be a need for at least 100 volunteers throughout the week. The Yuill Family Foundation has stepped in and donated $4,000 which will provide each volunteer with a golf shirt and hat. “We couldn’t run an event this size without the help of the local community, we will need volunteers for scoring, transportation, driving range, ball spotters, the list goes on,” says Jaques, “To have a nice quality golf shirt and hat to give to the volunteers is a really nice touch to the event and it’s something they will all appreciate.”
