A Partnership Approach to Meaningful Giving.
The Yuill Family Foundation isn’t a distant funder checking boxes on an application. We’re a partner invested in your vision, committed to your success, and deeply engaged in the work you’re doing to strengthen our community.
We prioritize capital projects: building, renovation, equipment, and program launches that create infrastructure for ongoing impact.
This page explains how we think about giving, what we look for in partners, and how to explore whether a partnership with us makes sense for your organization.
Eligibility Checklist
Does your work align with one of our four pillars?
Your project should fit clearly within Education, Youth Sports, Mentorship, or Health. If you're doing work in multiple areas, that's valuable and often reflects real community needs. In your application, be clear about which pillar you're emphasizing and why.
Is your project geographically aligned with our priorities?
We prioritize funding for initiatives in Medicine Hat and Southern Alberta. We make this prioritization clear to reflect where we can be most engaged and have greatest impact. We're neighbors first, investors second.
Are you a registered charity?
We only fund registered charitable organizations holding a Charitable Registration Number (CRN) issued by Canada Revenue Agency. Working with registered charities ensures proper governance, accountability, and impact measurement.

The Application Process
When reviewing applications, the Foundation prioritizes organizations that demonstrate strong financial planning and committed board governance.
Applicants must clearly outline how their initiative will benefit the community and provide a sustainable funding plan beyond the Foundation’s contribution.
If you have a project idea and want to know if it might fit our priorities, call us. Email us. Have a conversation first. Many of our best partnerships started with informal dialogue.
